This week Americans celebrate the 4th of July and the independence of the United States of America. As I look back at the character that was required for the US to become a free-standing country, it forces me to look at my character and the character of those who put themselves in harm's way.
Over the last few weeks I've had conversations that have made me think about the unifying theme for this podcast and what the episodes seek to accomplish. Ultimately, I want you to be able to incorporate what you learn to live a better life. However, underlying that is the idea that I want you to be resilient.
There is no guest today, but I hope that you will join me as I discuss the insights that I've gained from reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson and Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl. Both books have impacted me and shaped my thoughts on developing greater resilience so that I can be happier tomorrow than I am today.
As the US celebrates the 4th of July, I hope that no matter where you are that you get to laugh and be with friends and family.
